A Perch At The Table is about designing interspecies interaction and cultivating ecocentric mindsets. The Kinship Chair is a discursive piece of furniture that elevates the status of songbirds by repositioning them in the home. It merges a high chair with a bird cage to emphasise the intrinsic value of the birds while contemporising the hobby’s craft.
